Rhonda’s daughter nominated her mom for Empowering Portrait. At the time of her portrait session, Rhonda was just over a year out from her double mastectomy. She had two different types of cancer, one type in each breast. Even though she has had to have several lymph nodes removed, she has done amazing well. Her daughter Miranda said “ This woman literally never does anything for herself and has selflessly donated her time to her local food bank and her church who in turn helps their community. Her grandchildren bring her joy even though she doesn’t get to see all of them as often as she would like. She’s also an avid gardener and member of her local garden club. I would like to see her selected because I don’t think she would ever do something like this for herself and I think my Mom is a beautiful person inside and out.
